Hey Zoobsters! We are back with July’s balance patch. This patch touches only on one aspect: characters’ base speed. With Jungle shoes changes from last month, the speed difference between characters became more impactful since there are less ways to close the gap.

To adjust this we are changed the base movement speed to tighten the gap between characters, while keeping each archetype feeling like itself. Speeds now snap to four clean bands — 5.3 / 5.6 / 5.9 / 6.4 — with Fuzzy having his own thing.

  • What changed: only base (walking) speed. Dashes, leaps and active-mobility abilities are untouched.
  • The idea: the biggest outliers get reined in (Jade & Larry were far above everyone else), and the slowest characters get nudged up off the floor. Most of the roster barely moves.
  • Scope: 45 of 55 characters adjusted (17 slower, 28 faster); 10 unchanged.

Speed playing a big part in the game balance, we won’t touch itens or other characters’ until we analyze the impact this change has on the game. But you should expect a new balance patch sooner than later.
