Hey, Zoobsters!

A while ago, we made important changes to make Zooba fairer and more accessible for everyone. We significantly reduced the cost of reaching Level 20, and with Daily Rewards, we delivered on our promise to reward consistent play instead of endless grinding.

Now, it’s time to take the next step. Zooba 6.0 further enhances rewards, progression pacing, matchmaking, and overall gameplay quality. There is still much more to come, especially regarding the Battle Pass, mission systems, and progression accessibility. Stay tuned!

New Season Road

After each season reset, rewards previously tied to the season’s trophy progression have been removed from Character Roads and unified into the new Season Road. Overall, the new rewards are higher than what most players earned in the previous system.

The old system created unfair experiences based on each player’s roster: season rewards harder for beginners (with just a few characters) and easier for advanced players (with many characters). It also limited the Character Roads value. With this separation, we can better shape the beginner experience without impacting advanced players, and vice versa.

During season transitions, all characters with 1,800+ trophies will now reset to exactly 1,800 trophies, improving trophy distribution and resulting in fairer matchmaking across the season. Going forward, seasons will last 28 days, giving players more time to experience each season.

In this first new-format season, character trophies will reset according to the new rules, starting on Jan 19th, 2026.

Game Mode Rotation

We’re updating how game modes rotate to support healthier matchmaking and ensure higher-quality game modes, focusing on experiences that are well-supported and enjoyable to play.

To achieve this, we’re simplifying the current slot and room separation, concentrating players into fewer options. This improves match quality and reduces queue times. The result is a simplified structure with one Solo mode and one Social mode, tailored by trophy range.

For characters with less than 1,800 trophies:

  • Solo slot: Solo Full / Solo Standard
  • Social slot: Big Teams
  • Map rotation: Central Zoo, Zoo Rail, Volcano Park

For characters with 1,800 trophies or more:

  • Solo slot: Solo Full / Solo Standard
  • Social slot: Duo
  • Map rotation: Central Zoo, Zoo Rail, Volcano Park

This particular setup (Solo, Big Teams, Duo, and the split by trophies) is based on engagement data, reinforcing the existing behavior and preferences. Other game modes, such as Solo Mini and 3×3 Deathmatch, will return in the future as temporary game modes.

Something Big Is Coming in February

One last thing… February brings something very special to Zooba. We’re preparing our first-ever collaboration. No spoilers yet — but it’s something we’re incredibly excited about.

Welcome to Zooba 6.0. See you in the Zoo!
